OpenBeta - Where Ideas meet Opportunity
Oklahoma City's un-conference for Internet professionals,
entrepreneurs and enthusiasts
7-10 PM, October 30th, IAO Gallery, Oklahoma City
http://openbeta.extendedbeta.com
Online technologies are rapidly evolving. New business possibilities
are emerging. Online start-up costs are dropping. However, success
still requires collaboration between people with a variety of skills.
OpenBeta is an un-conference -- a participant-driven community event
aimed at exposing ideas and creating opportunities by connecting
smart, passionate and motivated people with different talents. The
event is open to Internet professionals, entrepreneurs, enthusiasts,
and investors based in central Oklahoma who are interested in a
variety of topics including:
Online Technologies | Web 2.0 | Social Media | Entrepreneurism |
Business Startups | Social Networking | Viral Marketing | Blogging |
Podcasting | Crowd Sourcing | Web Design | Software Development |
Internet Activism | Information Security and Privacy
The event will begin with a tech demo session. Community
members will setup laptops and show off their innovative projects.
This will be your opportunity to mingle with old friends and network
with new ones, while enjoying drinks and food. The main session of the
event will focus on lightning fast presentations given by community
members on their innovative ideas and projects. This will be your
chance to hear about cool work that other people in Oklahoma City are
doing, that you probably didn't already know about.

In a show of support for the local technology community, InnoTech is
sponsoring the OpenBeta Best-of-Show Award. Award winners will
have their work showcased in a dedicate booth on the trade-show floor
of the InnoTech conference happening November 6th at the Cox
Convention Center.
