Good afternoon! We are one week away from the April meeting of the
Oklahoma City JUG. This month, Les Martin will be presenting
"Griffon: A Crash Course." From its website (http://griffon.codehaus.org/
), "Griffon is a Grails like application framework for developing
desktop applications in Groovy." If you're still not convinced this
is something you might want to come check out, here's some more
insight into Griffon, taken from their old home page (http://groovy.codehaus.org/Griffon
):

Why Griffon?
Liger was taken, apparently (http://halogenlabs.com/images/jruby.jpg).
Griffons have large talons.
Excellent skills in jump and spot (http://www.d20srd.org/srd/monsters/griffon.htm
) as well.
It's a mashup, of an Eagle and a Cougar
(since all of the Griffon committers are in North America right now,
we are referring to the New World animals, instead of the traditional
Eagle and Lion. We could have also gone with the Puma, Mountain Lion,
or Panther instead, but I thought Cougars were the most majestic of
the North American big cats.)

If you plan on attending, and I really don't see how you can turn it
down after all that, please remember to register: http://okcjug.org/index.php?option=com_attend_events&task=view&id=33
