OpenBeta BarCamp is an intensely participant-driven event where attendees
share and learn in an open environment. The BarCamp theme is web design,
development and start-ups. It will be held Saturday, July 25th, 9am - 6pm at
the Oklahoma City Coworking Collaborative.
You must register online to attend: http://extendedbeta.com
All attendees are required to participate by giving a talk, being on a
panel, demonstrating designs or code, giving a tutorial, leading or
participating in a discussion, volunteering to help organize, promote or
staff the event.
Here are some topics people have already expressed interest in presenting
on: PHP, SPL, CSS, HTML 5, Python, Amazon S3, .NET, social networking,
videosharing, Ruby, Mechanical Turk, CMS, API, Google maps, Usability,
jQuery UI, Groovy Programming, Polyglot programming, Rails, Cloud Computing,
MSVS, monorails, RAD methods, SQL, WordPress, CMS, iTunesU, iPhone App
development, ASMX web services, JSON, DOM, jQuery, Databases
The event is organized organically the day of the event. People propose
presentations and it all gets sorted out at the beginning. Trust us, it just
works.
