Rob gave me your information regarding OKC Java Developers. Here at Amazon, we're doing a fair bit of hiring. We're looking for people with solid CS fundamentals and experience. I can take the resumes and apply them directly to these or related job positions. Amazon has good relocation packages (I came from the Chicago area with my family and have no complaints).
I have several positions open with the following qualifications -
Software Development Engineer - Localization Services
Interested in building highly distributed and scalable systems that create, manage and deliver localized content to the Amazon.com websites? Interested in building systems that allow simple deployment of new websites customized for any language? Localization Services team at Amazon.com owns workflow for translating content and the high available systems that deliver this content for Amazon.com and its partners. Our goal is to build technologies that provide a seamless and simple process to allow localized website creation to 'just happen'.
Qualifications:
* BS/MS degree in Computer Science or equivalent
* 5+ years of solid experience developing large scale distributed systems
* Solid proficiency with Java, and C++. OOAD and OOP are a must, preferably in a UNIX/Linux environment
* Candidates must be independent, flexible, innovative, self-directed, eager to learn and understand how to architect, design and write high-performance, highly-available, and maintainable software.
* Candidates will be eager to understand the customers view and provide scalable and maintainable solutions in a challenging environment.
* Familiarity with SQL, Perl, Oracle, JavaScript, AJAX, XML/XSLT, SOAP, Berkeley databases, caching technologies, web protocols, web services technologies a strong plus
* Proven record of completion of at least one full project life cycle is required.
* Excellent debugging skills and an attitude of enthusiastically supporting customers who use our software are required
* Solid communication skills and ability to work in a team and with internal customers is critical
