[OKC JUG] [Steering Committee] July Meeting?

Do we have to have presentations? Could we just meet and have roundtable discussions about various topics?

Everyone is doing something with AI, so I'm sure that could be an interesting meeting (or 2 or 3) where we all just share.

I don't want this group to die, and I don't want Jason to feel like it's all on him!

Other topics that I think could be interesting:
Code environment - What does everyone use and why?
Languages - What do you use for your day job? What are you learning on the side (wish you had time to learn)?
Data - RDMS vs unstructured; tips/tricks vs pitfalls
JVM - What version are you stuck on and why?

Id like to see a presentation on AI assisted workflow, I'm researching it right now but if someone has it already working, id like to see it and discuss.   On Mon, Jun 30, 2025, 14: 44 Jason Lee <jason@ steeplesoft. com> wrote: It's

It's me again. It's been forever since we've met, largely because I have not been able to find anybody willing to present. Much like Bernie Sanders, then, I am once again asking for your help. :) If you have a presentation you'd like to give and can have it ready by the 15th or 22nd, I'd LOVE to hear from you. If not, I can work up something. Some options:

  *   jbang
  *   What's new in Jakarta EE 11
  *   What's new in JDK 2x+
  * Creating a static blog/site with Quarkus Roq
  * A deeper dive into part of the Android app I discussed in... March?

I'm happy to do any of those, but I don't want this to become Jason's User Group (probably a repeat joke, but whatever :). I also don't want the group to wither away. However, if there's no interest, remaining on life support doesn't sound like much fun either. :)

Anyone out there? Ideas? Help! :P
