[Steering Committee] possible december speaker

I'd like to see a tag-team approach - should some of Stephens code, then show it in AOP... but that may be asking too much.

I'm not sure the order is important but my gut tells me we should look at Stephen's solution first simply because it uses Java as is. The Aspect J stuff doesn't require a special compiler but it does require libraries and using the 1.5 class-loading hook.

I like the two topics, and we could schedule the pizza and chit chat in between. Stephen and Brett, could you let us know what order we should schedule you?

Well we could skip the hello java this week and instead have two presentations. I'm game.
What does the steering committee think?

Hi Bret,
In about two weeks, I will have my presentation pretty well having some structure to it, and I can accurately tell you how much time I may need. But anything betw 30 - 45 minutes would be excellent

It's all good...
We could do both. We should find out how long he needs to present. I know I can do a reasonable version of the talk in about 45 - 55 minutes. It would be interesting to see the two back to back. However, I'm just throwing that out. He can have December or not.

Stephen Maina (Valtech) has offered to do a talk on using annotations and reflection instead of AOP. (Brett - you guys oughta talk - I'd be interested in hearing what you have to say on his solution)
He might be able to do the December meetings (january for sure).
Does this sound like a good topic?
He also mentioned a possible topic he could do - instead of using sockets, use some new IO class to do network stuff...
