[Steering Committee] last nights meeting

I don't mind keeping the evening meetings, I was just wondering what you guys thought.

We might want to change the schedule, since almost no one makes it there by 6:00.

The Hello Java bit seems to have run it's course. We don't get newbies much anymore. We did have 1 last night though.
Would setting up another registration kind of thing for the Hello Java make sense? i.e. Sign up if you are interested in being there for the Hello Java.

Or start at 6:30...

I still like the evening meetings, since we get more opportunity for discussion. But perhaps we could just extend the lunch meeting instead.

As Rod pointed out, not all speakers will be able to make the lunch meeting. If we drop the evening meeting, then we'd either have to exclude those that can't make it for lunch, or have the confusion of moving our normal meeting to a new time. The flip side is, I guess, does it make sense to continue to have the evening meeting for those rare occasions described above.

That being said, I'm with Ryan on the discussion in the evenings, and a longer lunch session may be hard to pull off since people are on the clock...
