[Steering Committee] Status?

Good afternoon, ladies and gents, and happy new year. :)

I've been getting some emails from various conferences, etc. talking about
JUGs and active leaders, etc, which made me think of my favorite (if
dormant) JUG, so I thought I'd do a status check. We haven't met in many,
many moons for a number of reasons, the chief being COVID, I guess, and
we're all busy, so before we know it, we're months, maybe even a couple of
years without a meeting.

What should we do with the JUG? Currently, the only concrete part about the
JUG is the domain. Our Techlahoma membership has lapsed, and it seems a lot
of our leadership have moved on to non-Java technologies (traitors! :). Is
the OKC JUG something we feel needs to be revived, or should we pour out a
40 of A&W and officially call it a day? I know there are many logistics
that would have to be worked out for a revival, and that could be a lot of
work, but, at the same time, many of us have put a lot of work into this
thing over the years, so I don't want to see it just limp into history. If
it does do that, it deserves a proper farewell. :)

If we DON'T want to revive (which is fine. seriously), then I'm going to
let this domain reg expire in June and save myself a whole $16/yr, though
I'll probably just blow that on a date night with my wife. :)

Either way really is fine with me, but I wanted to make a semi-formal
effort to see what others' thoughts were.

That's all I have for now. I hope you all are doing well! :)
