The supreme court has stated that while it is not the right of a juror, it is within his/her power to do so.<div><br></div><div>The oath you take as a juror does not supersede your constitutional rights. The 6th amendment guarantees a jury trial if a defendant so wants it. Your findings as a juror are not reviewable nor can action be taken against you for your decision.
