I really like the logo for its simplicity, for the different versions we could use in different places (including black and white / color), and for the fact that it reminds me of the Sun logo, but is also different enough to set us apart.<br>
<br>I also agree that Duke is cool, but I don't want to incorporate him in our basic logo. Of course, it would be great if we had a variation or two with Duke in them.<br><br>I think we should plan to go with this, but work with Chad a bit based on all this feedback.<br>
<br>Going with what Forrest said, what if we changed the wisps somehow? Make them less prominent perhaps? It might be a bit risky, but what if we made them look like the letters O, K, C?<br><br><div class="gmail_quote">

I think the logo's simplicity is great. Simple is good. However, it's so simple it's hard to tell whether it's a cup of coffee or a bowl of soup. Add a handle and that's fixed.<br><br>I agree about it being a bit too froo-froo. Really it's just the wisps that contribute to that, though. If they didn't curl so sharply, and maybe intertwined a little bit it might look better.<br>
<br>I also like the idea of the logo featuring three colors especially when two of them are different values on the grayscale. So the ones with the red cup get my vote out of the ones you attached.<br><br>Now, having said all of that, if you replace the cup/bowl with a Duke similar to this one <<a href="http://hritcu.files.wordpress.com/2006/11/dukewithhelmet.jpg" target="_blank">http://hritcu.files.wordpress.com/2006/11/dukewithhelmet.jpg</a>>, I think it would look really good. It gets rid of the coffee theme and is still a very concise logo.<br>
