<p>I think I've mentioned that I might be able get a couple of
outside speakers to come in. This is my friend Mark, who is a Dev
Advocate with Pivotal. It looks like his availability lines up
with our January meeting, though we might be able to sneak him
somewhere else. <br>
</p>
<p>Thoughts? I've CC'd Vance on this in case any of the other
Techlahoma groups might be interested. Not sure who would be
meeting that week, but it's worth a shot. I have another email
from a Google guy I met at JavaOne that I'll forward shortly.</p>
<p>If we're going to aim for January, we need to decide pretty
quickly and get his time booked.<br>

<div dir="ltr">Hi Jason,
<div><br>
</div>
<div>I'd love to do that! I've included Tasha Isenberg on this
email to help coordinate everything; she's kind of the
scheduling genius/make-it-happen logistics wiz/etc. for our
team, so she can easily make up for my failings in, well,
pretty much everything. Tasha, Jason...Jason, Tasha. :D</div>
<div><br>
</div>
<div>At this point, my schedule looks open for the week of
January 16 (not the 16th itself, that's Martin Luther King
Jr's birthday), the week of February 27 (extends into March
1-3), or the latter half of April. There are other openings
interspersed throughout, but let's start with these and see if
any work for you. If not, we may need to improvise a bit. :)</div>
<div><br>
</div>
<div>Tasha, would it be possible to connect with local Pivotal
folks to see about perhaps hitting some other
sites/meetups/etc. once we solidify a date? Maybe we can make
this a roaming "party" and take care of all of the travel
internally. :)</div>
<div><br>
</div>
<div>Jason, thanks for inviting me, hope to see you again soon.
Bringing the Spring (& some Cloud Foundry goodness) to
OKC, brother!</div>

<div>Cheers,<br>

<blockquote class="gmail_quote" style="margin:0 0 0
.8ex;border-left:1px #ccc solid;padding-left:1ex">Hello,
Mark. At JavaOne, we discussed the possibility of you
coming out to the Oklahoma City JUG and giving a
presentation over something Spring-related. I'd like to
get the ball rolling on that and see if we can work out
details on if and when.<br>
<br>
I will say up front, in case that makes things easier ;),
that we don't really have any sort of travel budget, as
we rely heavily on donations from area businesses, and
that pretty much covers facilities and food. :) We've
recently moved under the umbrella of a local tech
non-profit (<a moz-do-not-send="true"
href="http://www.techlahoma.org/" rel="noreferrer"
target="_blank">http://www.techlahoma.org/</a>) that
*might* be able to offer something like, but I wouldn't
bet the bank on it. :)<br>
<br>
So, if that doesn't close the door on a visit, I'd love to
find a time that works for you. We're really not very
picky on topics, but I know I'd love to see Spring Boot in
action, or anything microservices-related, honestly. As
you know, though, the Spring family is pretty large, so
I'm perfectly happy letting you pick whatever's got you
the most excited at the moment.<br>
<br>
At any rate, I've rambled long enough. Talk to your people
about it, and we'll go from there. :)<br>
<br>
Many thanks!<span class="HOEnZb"><font color="#888888"><br>
